Obama travels to visit daughter Sasha's school

BETHESDA, Md. – President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, are attending an event at the private school that 8-year-old daughter Sasha obama attends in suburban Maryland.
Reporters who accompanied the Obamas to the site of the Sidwell Friends school in Bethesda were not permitted to witness the event inside the school. Nor was there a description of what program or event the Obamas attending.
The first couple, however, has made several forays to the two schools where Sasha and her older sister, 11-year-old Malia, are registered. The motorcade ride from the White House to Bethesda on Thursday morning took place under clear, sunny skies, but plenty of humidity.
