Sources close to the All For You hitmaker say Janet was so “blown away” by the positive reaction to her appearance on the American Idol finale earlier this week that she’s “seriously entertaining” a concert tour.
The tour, insiders tell TMZ, could begin before the end of the of year.
Janet performed Again, Nothing, and Nasty on Wednesday’s Idol.
Janet’s ex-boyfriend Jermaine Dupri recently claimed the star no longer wanted to make music as her albums do not sell as well as they used to.
“Last time I heard she really didn’t want to do an album,” he said. “She wanted to just do singles every once in a while.
“She’s looked at the marketplace -albums are not really doing what they usually do when you put all this budget out there. Janet is just trying to figure out her landscape.”
