Christine Bleakley

Reports that Christine Bleakley is to be the new face of The Xtra Factor have been laughed off by the Northern Ireland beauty.
It had been rumoured that Simon Cowell was chasing the One Show host to replace Holly Willoughby, promising to turn her into the next Cheryl Cole.
But a spokeswoman for Bleakley denied she was on the move from the BBC.
And a One Show source said the company was “looking forward to working with her on exciting new projects in the future”.
It is understood the BBC is desperate to retain Christine, following the defection of her former One Show co-host Adrian Chiles to GMTV. All stops are being pulled out to entice her to stay and to make her one of the biggest stars in television.
It has even been rumoured that she is to get her own chat show but her spokeswoman said this was not the case.
However, she did admit that Bleakley was keen to try her hand at other things
and that she would consider another job, if the show format was right for her.
“There have been no talks between Christine and ITV or ITV2 and no approaches have been made,” she said.
“Right now Christine is concentrating on the One Show and its shake-up. Chris Evans will be presenting it with her on Fridays and a new presenter will be joining soon to replace Adrian,” she said.
“There have been lots of rumours — that she’s going to present The Xtra Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, the Eurovision and a female-only chat show.
“The BBC is keen to develop her as a key talent within the company and if they do develop a new programme idea and it’s the right show for her, she would love to do something else.”
Bleakley — who is dating Chelsea star Frank Lampard — is being touted as the next big thing on British television. Her career has rocketed since joining the One Show and she has won over the public by undertaking a number of challenges, including taking part in Strictly Come Dancing and waterskiing across the Channel for Sports Relief.
A BBC spokeswoman said: “As presenter of the One Show, Christine is extremely popular with audiences of all ages and we look forward to working with her on exciting new projects in the future.”
It is understood Caroline Flack — who presents The Whole 19 Yards with Vernon Kay — is another possibility for the Xtra Factor job
